Ridiculously small portions from pasta menu. Served in a huge bowl where a tea saucer would have been sufficient. I don't recommend if you're hungry. Service was great.
Where to start....ordered salad and got soup, once I got the salad it tasted like I picked greens out of my back yard, had to ask for flatware twice til I finally got it myself, food was tasteless or worse tasted like chef boyardee. Prices were way too high to deal with all of the issues.
Great Italian food with ample gluten free choices. Friendly staff with good service.
Great dining experience. Staff was very good. Food was great. Enjoyed the environment.
Great food! Very fresh. Amazing service, waitresses are very polite and considerate.
Italian food? Love it!Steaks? Love em!So Il Padrino Italian Steakhouse is a dream come true!
Never again, $50 for cold lasagna, ok salad, chicken parmesan and glass of red wine. Nope, not again!
We showed up without reservation but they accommodated us in air conditioned nicely decorated dining area. Very good food and excellent service. Oddly restaurant did not show up on normal online lists. Can’t imagine better dining experience in Cody.
I like the atmosphere and selection. It's one of the few restaurants in town that I would classify as "romantic" but that depends on the night and the crowd. Good wine selection. I particularly love the seafood platter even though it almost tastes like it was frozen and then defrosted.
Husband took me out for our anniversary and Il padrino did not reach expectations. Its seemed as though there was a lack of business as the restaurant was fairly empty other that one other table that came in at the end of our meal. Portions in general were small, the salads were very small, our meals were barely filling (I had the chicken piccata, and my husband had the meat and cheese ravioli). Desserts were extremely over priced for portion size and quality. The house wine was overpriced for what it was as well.
Was so bad that it was comical. Waited over an hour for food we couldn't eat. (Raw chicken) Waiter was the only bright spot of the evening. Apologised profusely through the evening for things over which he had no control. Won't be back.
The food was excellent and our waitress Della was fantastic! If you want to enjoy a friendly welcoming environment, IL Padrino's is the place to go!
Great service. Great food. Great atmosphere!
3 out of 4 of us liked our meals. I'd stay away from the Stuffed Chicken. Came out refrigerator cold, which tells me this was premade and not fresh. We sent it back and it returned cool to the touch. We're not doing this again. So we refused the meal. Adding insult to the situation they still wanted us to pay for the meal and it was on the bill. They did offer spaghetti and meatballs instead. After a few words they removed the charge and comped the spaghetti. Eaters Beware. We won't be back.
Excellent food and service. Top 5 steak I've ever had and excellent italian food. 👍👍!!
An Italian restaurant with NO pizza? Really? OK, I get you can run out of things on the menu, but it would be nice to be told of this when given our menus, especially as we were given a pizza menu. Too late for us once we'd already ordered our wine. Sadly the wine was the only enjoyable part of the meal as the mushroom soup (which our server had said was very good) turned out to be terrible and I couldn't eat it. Completely overpowered with herbs.I watched in dismay as pizza menus confined to be handed out to other arriving customers. Our server was clearly following some protocol. But the restaurant could do with some improvement in how it is run... along with a bump in quality. Fine dining this is NOT. A sad end to our last night in Cody.
Great food. Great staff. This place deserves much more credit than the locals give it.There was a manager here last year who wasn't very pleasant. The new Manager is wonderful! A+
Il Padrino makes possibly the best rib eye I've ever had. Also had the farfalle rustina which was a spicy cream sauce, and the cheesecake for dessert. If you're looking for a civilized, decedent evening with fantastic food and atmosphere, this is the place for you. Also, we came on a Monday and they stayed open past normal hours because they had such a crowd, which was awesome. Staff was sanitary and spaced people adequately.
Food and service were excellent! Had reservations so we got right in. They were busy so we thought we would have wait on our drinks and food, but not so. Hubby had linguine with aka vodka sauce and I had shrimp scamp. Both were excellent. Will definitely return the next time we are in Cody.
Loved this restaurant....Food was amazing..Waitress was very pleasant...highly recommend..
Good food, good service. Usually my preference for a quieter dinner.
Extremely overpriced, owner parked his truck in the closest spot to the building, service was ok. Food was ok, but for the price was not worth it.
We had a wonderful experience, thanks to Teresa. She tended to all of our needs and was a wonderful server! Ask for her if she’s available.
We are on vacation and we enjoyed the ambiance. The food was fantastic. Service was excellent and they were very willing to accomodate food allergies (olives and dairy). My husband got the build your own pasta with meatballs and pesto, so good. I got the salmon al something, spicy marinara, tender salmon and perfect pasta. Our daughter go shrimp scampi and said it was her favorite noddles ever.
Wait staff was friendly and helpful. My wife and I have differing opinions on the food. She enjoyed her pasta dish giving it a 4 out of 5. My veal was tough and had an institutional appearance ( a la Sysco Foods), the red sauce was watery and needed flavor. Definitely not worth the price at $90 for 2 people tip included. I would rate my experience as 2 out of 5. I will give them another try and see if it improves.
Poor service, less then warm food. my granddaughter had the meat tasted almost rotten. Took over an hour to get a poor meal. There was also a very loud group at a table they should have been asked to keep it down. I pitty this place if they were to get busy. We should have left. We got a 20.00 meal for all most 90.00. we will not be going there again.
Had a great Valentine's Day dinner!
Amazing food but even better service from Teresa! She made our experience one that we’ll remember forever. Can’t wait to come back!
Staff was clearly unhappy. My waitress was clearly stressed the whole night and my food looked rushed. No one was here so the restaurant was empty during my entire meal, lacking the atmosphere of fine dining.
Sat at the table nearest the window last night with my husband and were able to watch the whole Christmas Parade, waitress was very sweet and the hostess recommended a pesto/spaghetti/sausage dish that was so yummy. Will be back every time we’re in Cody!
Back of the house (kitchen) was in great shape. Apple gorgonzola salad was to die for. Pasta was good. Great location and ambiance. Was a bit short staffed and waited for drinks. Our entrees came out at different times. Would try again. Just entering busy season. Probably need more staff/organization before it gets really busy.
Finest dining establishment in Cody Wyoming by far! Best Steaks, Best wine list. Best Pizza. Authentic Italian fare. Best atmosphere. Owned by a REAL credentialed Certified Executive Chef.
Exceptional atmosphere, staff, food and service.
Food was pretty bad. Very expensive for the quality of chicken, steak, and pastas. Go somewhere else if you want a steak
The service, was good, it was a slow night and the food was well-prepared but to my taste, lacked flavor. The owner came and introduced himself, very lovely man...he told us that he has a philosophy of low salt in food for health reasons and one gentleman in our party suggested that he have low salt entrees on the menu or with or without salt as an option but he said that that is not his philosophy. If you like low salt meals or are on a low salt diet you will probably enjoy this restaurant.
I was very disappointed when I saw they use Sysco as their provider and that their meats are totally frozen. Greeley, CO has better steaks for half the price, this is a bad restaurant for an state that calls itself Beef Country. Also my steak was well done when I asked for it medium which for $35 I would have expected it to be tender and juicy not dry and chewy.
We had the wonderful experience of dining with our friends (table of 4). The food reminded us of our experience eating fine Italian on our last trip to New York City. The staff was all very attentive and even the hostess came to check on us during our meal. The only downside to our experience, unbeknownst to the restaurant employees, was the very crude woman raising her voice at her waitress over her unhappiness of her meal. Sorry you’re having a bad night — But you don’t have to ruin it for the rest of us! (;
Four of us had an incredible authentic Italian cuisine experience. The chef and owner visited us three times. Food was most special. Very creative with great imagination. Service by Megan snd Stephanie excellent. Wine list and price point good. Highly recommend italian officiandos. Ingredients and Chef’s experience created great results. Bravissimo. Chef, thank you. Susie and Jay, Diane and Rick .
With few good places to eat in Cody, ll Padrino WAS one of our favorite places to go. We visited on 10/19/19 with the intention of having a small pizza dinner. When we ordered we were told that they were short staffed and could not make pizzas. We ordered off the menu and while waiting for our food we heard the wait staff tell three other customers that they were out of items. Our $15 stuffed mushrooms were not stuffed and it looked like they had cut one into four pieces. Our salad was a small handful put on a plate and our main dish was barely warm. After dinner we were never offered a dessert. All we got was our check and a quick thanks for coming. VERY disappointing. We are not planning on visiting again anytime in the future. Just lost a customer.
Teresa Coggins kept us from starving! Greatest waitress hands down!!
Delicious food, and amazing, friendly staff!
Best food in town!
Nice setting. Service was good. Food, was marginal. Lacked flavor.
Our dinner experience was absolutely horrible. The table behind us was louder than a concert, and they didn’t nothing about it. Screaming and shouting was heard, and they didn’t do anything. We waited for 45 minutes before we got our order put in, and then another 55 before we got our food. The food was just nasty. The lasagna tasted like it had been rotten, the Chicken Marsala was incredibly salty, and the stuffed chicken was cold. Our waitress tried her best, but it was still poorly. A cheap meal for almost $90 was not worth it. Not going back.
We came in last night on Halloween and watched the kids through our quant window table up front. My wife’s flatiron was cooked perfectly and we shared the flourless torte. Divine. Will definitely continue coming!
Wonderful attentive service from Stephanie, who was doing both hosting and serving this night. She made us laugh and made our meal even more enjoyable by listening to our stories from our travels. Margarita pizza? To die for. Coconut shrimp? To die for. Thank you again,
